Luisa Caldwell

"Posters" by New York artist Luisa Caldwell, is part art world documentation, part personal history and part large-scale colorful installation. Much of Caldwell's work involves re-arranging small items of domesticity. Candy wrappers, rug motifs, fruit stickers all become transformed when massed or arranged in a different environment.

The artist has exhibited around the world. She recently received a commission for a permanent sculpture for the City of New York from the Department of Cultural Affairs Percent for Art Program.

She lives in Brooklyn, NY.
