The 2009 Sculpture Key West exhibition takes place at two historic venues: the West Martello Tower and Fort Zachary Taylor State Park.

Installation at West Martello Tower

January 16

Arts Speak:  Artists lecture. 
Location:  The Studios of Key West, 600 White Street
Time/cost:  5:30-8 pm / free
Participating artists in SKW 2009 speak about their work.  Artists speaking are Ludwika Ogorzelec, Karen McCoy, J. Susie Hwang, Michael Berens.

January 18

Opening Reception at West Martello Tower
Location:  West Martello Tower, Atlantic Blvd. Near White Street Pier
Time/cost:  6-8 pm / free (donations appreciated)
Enjoy an evening of dramatically lit sculpture in the beautiful garden setting.  Special events include a showing of Owen Mundy’s video, J. Susie Hwang will be performing her installation Prostration Thousand Fold,  DJ and open bar.

February 21-28

Installation at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park

February 27

Artists’ Sail
Location:  Liberty Clipper, Historic Seaport (near Schooner Wharf)
Time/cost:  4:30 check in on the boat / $65 (free for participating artists)
Enjoy a sunset sail with the artists from SKW 2009 aboard the beautiful historic Liberty Clipper, sponsor of the SKW by Sea.

February 28

Opening reception at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park
Location:  Fort Zachary Taylor State Park, end of Southard St.
Time/cost:  3-6 pm  / free to enter the park during those hours
Come to the park to celebrate the opening of the exhibition at Fort Zachary Taylor.

March 11

Sally Port Auction
Location: Old City Hall, 510 Greene Street
Time/cost: 6pm preview 6:30 pm live auction / $25
A live auction of works created by SKW 2009 artists, for collectors and patrons.
